---- — Boil-water order on in Black Brook

BLACK BROOK — Black Brook Water District 1 is under a boil-water order issued by the Clinton County Health Department.

The order is in place due to loss of water pressure in the district.

People in the district should boil water for one minute before drinking it, cooking with it or using it to brush teeth, wash dishes, make ice or prepare food.

LPCS Board to meet today

LAKE PLACID — Lake Placid Central School Board will meet at 7 p.m. today ini the Administrative Services Center at the school.

Agenda items include a resolution for the certification of lead evaluators, special education and a teaching staff appointment. 

The session is open to the public.

Clinton Republicans set caucus

CLINTON — The Town of Clinton Republican Caucus is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Offices up for election in November are a two-year term for town supervisor; the four-year highway superintendent position; a four-year Town Council seat; and two-year terms each for town clerk and tax collector.

NCCC Board to meet Aug. 27

SARANAC LAKE — The North Country Community College Board of Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the Board Room on the Saranac Lake campus, 23 Santanoni Ave..

Agenda items are expected to include administrative reports, personnel reports and a financial update.

An executive session will be called pursuant to Article 7 of the Public Officer’s Law at the beginning of the meeting.

The open session is scheduled to begin between noon and 12:30 p.m.
