▶ Tickets for Plattsburgh Little Theatre's rendition of "Beauty and the Beast" are now available for purchase in local schools. The performance will be next week in the Plattsburgh High School auditorium and tickets are limited.
▶ Voters in the Town of Moriah approved of the centralization of seven school districts in Essex County by a 2-to-1 margin. The schools up for centralization are Port Henry, Mineville, Moriah, Moriah Center, Cheever Forge Hollow and Edgement.
▶ The recovery of the wrecked B-47 jet bomber that crashed in January on Wright's Peak has been delayed due to unfavorable weather conditions on the mountain.
▶ Plattsburgh's application for federal urban renewal funding passed through New York City and is on its way to Washington. Plattsburgh Mayor John J. Tyrell is optimistic about receiving the funding.
75 YEARS AGO — 1937
▶ The YMCA is bringing a miniature Century of Progress Exposition titled "The House of Magic" to the Plattsburgh High School auditorium. The exhibit demonstrates the modern miracles of electricity and was one of the most popular features of this year's Chicago World's Fair.
