Students: April 28, 2013


Area students who have been selected for membership in the St. Lawrence University Chapter of Psi Chi, the national psychology honorary society, include Alex J. Fredette of Plattsburgh, Kayla J. Hebert of Keene Valley and Brittany R. McDonald of Altona.

Cameron Barry of Wilmington graduated in December from the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi with an associate’s degree in veterinary science technology.

Megan Harris of Morrisonville has been named to the Dean’s List at Northeastern University, Boston, Mass. She is also a member of the University Honors program, which offers high-caliber students the chance to further hone their studies and interests, live in special on-campus housing and participate in one or two honors courses each term.

The University of Albany named these area students to the Dean’s List for the fall semester: Donovan Adams of Champlain, Nicholas Ball of Willsboro, Zachary Battisti of Jay, Chelsea Ensel of Plattsburgh, Hayden Frechette of Plattsburgh, Brooke Helwig of Plattsburgh, Ryan Huchro of Moriah, Emily Kerr of Plattsburgh, Braden Lamere of Mooers Forks, Timothy Larock of Westport, Jared McLean of Peru, Michael Novelli of Peru, Rebekah Pierce of Brushton, Kyle Prinsen of Keeseville, Amanda Rivet of St. Regis Falls, Margaret Schneck of Saranac Lake, Alexis Sims of Plattsburgh, Alexandria Stepnoski of Fort Covington and Jonathon Walraven of Ticonderoga.

Four area residents graduated from Clarkson University, Potsdam, in December. They are Britni L. Ashline of Plattsburgh, Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering; Annie M. Murphy of Plattsburgh, Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics; Bradley R. Boshart of Plattsburgh, Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering; and J. Tyler Glanda of Westport, Bachelor of Professional Studies.

Ashley K. Menard, daughter of Greg LaDuke and Kristina Burdo, both of Plattsburgh, has been named to the Dean’s List at LeMoyne College, Syracuse, for the fall semester. She is a member of the Class of 2014 and graduated from Plattsburgh Senior High School. She majors in history and minors in legal studies.

Ava Tyler of Saranac Lake has been named to Who’s Who of American Colleges and Universities. She was nominated by the faculty at Plymouth State University, Plymouth, N.H.
