Lyon Mountain broadband project in planning stages




The Lyon Mountain Broadband project will start on County Route 24 in Belmont and continue east to Brainardsville, covering parts of Lake Street and Davis Road.

High-speed Internet will also be available on Reynolds Road, Blow Road and Forge Road in Brainardsville.

From there, the fiber route will continue southeast on Route 374 around Shutts Road and Blanche Road into Merrill and down Sunset Road to wrap around Upper Chateaugay Lake and Boomhower Road.

Broadband will also be available in Lyon Mountain on Firehouse Lane, School Hill Street, Power House Road, Pete’s Street, West Mine Street, First Street, Second Street and Third Street.

Then the cable will continue south on County Route 1 to parts of Depot Street, Middle Street and Wolf Pond Road in Standish, where the coverage ends.
