PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly engaging in repeated sexual acts with a child younger than 13.
Jeremy St. Pierre, 37, was charged with two counts of predatory sexual assault against a child, a class A-II felony, the second-highest classifications for felonies in New York state.
The criminal sex acts occurred multiple times in 2011, according to a news release from New York State Police.
St. Pierre was arraigned in Plattsburgh Town Court before Justice Kevin M. Patnode and was sent to Clinton County Jail without bail.
Agencies that aided State Police in the investigation into St. Pierre’s alleged illicit activities are the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office, the Clinton County District Attorney’s Child Advocacy Center and the Clinton County Department of Social Services.
Police would release no further information regarding the case Thursday.
