Beekmantown Meet the Candidates forum set Thursday

CUMBERLAND HEAD — The Cumberland Head Taxpayers Association will host a Meet the Candidates forum featuring candidates for the Beekmantown Central School Board at the Cumberland Head Fire Station at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Candidates tentatively scheduled to appear are Ed Marin, Kenneth Mauer Sr., Andrew Brockway and Michael Hagadorn.

The question-and-answer session is open to the public. It will follow a meeting of the Taxpayers Association set for 6:30, which is also open to all.

AVCS Board to approve budget

CLINTONVILLE — The AuSable Valley Central School Board of Education will meet at 6 tonight in the auditorium at the Middle School-High School in Clintonville

The meeting is open to the public.


Keeseville dissolution planto be discussed

KEESEVILLE — The Keeseville Village Board will hold a special meeting at 8:30 a.m. Thursday to discuss the Dissolution Plan.

The meeting, which will be held in the Village Board room, 58 Liberty St., is open to all.


Discussion of gun-control law planned

WILLSBORO — The Willsboro Fish and Game Club, in cooperation with the Willsboro Central School District, is sponsoring a presentation by Essex County Sheriff Richard Cutting explaining the new state gun law, the SAFE Act.

Set for 6 p.m. Thursday, it takes place in the Willsboro Central School auditorium and is open to all.
