Keeseville Zoning Board cancels meeting

KEESEVILLE — The Keeseville Zoning Board of Appeals meeting scheduled for today has been canceled.

The next scheduled meeting is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in the Village Board Room at 58 Liberty St., Keeseville.

All Zoning Board meetings are open to the public.

Clinton County Legislature meeting date moved

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Legislature will meet on Thursday, Dec. 27, instead of Wednesday, Dec. 26.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the legislative chambers on the second floor of the Clinton County Government Center.

All meetings are open to the public.

Keeseville alters trash pickup, office hours

KEESEVILLE — Garbage pickup in the Village of Keeseville has been changed to Wednesday, Dec. 26, and Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.

The Village Offices will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2013, in observance of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Elizabethtown to accept discarded Christmas trees 

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown brush dump is closed, so Christmas trees can be taken to the maintenance building at Cobble Hill Golf Course for disposal after the holidays.

Residents must remove all ornaments and lights, and no artificial trees will be accepted.

Trees can be dropped off from Jan. 1 to 19.

FEMA schedules kick-off update meetings

PLATTSBURGH — Clinton County has started the process of a FEMA required five-year update of the Clinton County Multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. County-wide meetings are being held to gather input from all the jurisdictions.

Two kick-off meetings are scheduled at the following locations and times on Jan. 4: 10 a.m. at the Clinton County Emergency Services Building; or 1:30 p.m. at the Altona Town Hall.

Agendas for the meetings are identical. Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
