“It’s very exciting to be a part of this organization,” Coonrod said. “I think downtown can become a destination all of its own.”
She is also taking part in the First Weekend events organized by the North Country Cultural Center for the Arts and Adirondack Young Professionals. Coonrod said it has been nice to see how many people have been attracted to the area by the street musicians and discounts at local businesses.
