Donations sought to ship jerky to soldiers

WEST CHAZY — D&D Meats, the producers of Jeezum Crow Beef Jerky, are again supporting U.S. soldiers.

“We have sent over 6,000 bags over the years since I started doing this five years ago,” Shane Dutil of D&D Meats said in a news release. “The American Legion Post 1619 and fellow community members have helped in the past.

“We are still quite active in supporting our U.S. soldiers, but we slowed down after we had our fire a few years back. However, currently I know five local soldiers serving, so I figured it would be a great opportunity for us to try to get a decent-size shipment of some jerky to our soldiers.

“We love getting letters from the soldiers telling us how much they appreciate getting that little bit of home.”

People who want to make a donation are asked to call 493-2300 or email shane@jcjerky.com.
