Nominations sought for Peru Central Hall of Fame

PERU — Residents and alumni of Peru Central School District are encouraged to help the School District recognize outstanding public service by nominating individuals who have had a significant positive impact on Peru Central, according to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Patrick Brimstein. 

Nominees for Peru Central’s Hall of Fame must be retirees, graduates or individuals not directly affiliated with Peru Central for at least five years. An induction ceremony for new members of the Peru Central Hall of Fame will take place later this school year.

Peru Central’s Hall of Fame features individuals selected by the district’s Hall of Fame Committee. Criteria includes how the nominated individual had a significant positive impact on the organization and how that person contributed to the organization’s programs or services in some noteworthy capacity.

Get nomination forms at Peru High School Principal Mazzella’s office, by telephoning Mazzella at 643-6401 or on the website: www.perucsd.org. Completed nomination forms are due by noon Feb. 1, 2013.

Chateaugay School Board to meet Nov. 26

CHATEAUGAY — The Chateaugay Central School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26.

Items on the agenda include: a School Tax Audit Committee report; a 2012 fire-inspection report; an update on state education and legislative issues, an anticipated executive session on personnel and a letter of resignation for purpose of retirement.

The meeting is open to the public.
