Grant received

TICONDEROGA — The Wildlife Institute of Eastern New York has received a $1,500 grant from the International Paper Foundation.

This grant will be used to fund Silent Wings environmental education programs for students at schools located in and around the Adirondack Park and the Champlain Valley of Vermont. All programs will use live, non-releasable birds of prey to teach the students about some of the amazing animals that call this area their home.

These programs also create a heightened awareness and motivation towards responsible environmental behavior.
