HOGANSBURG — Four Franklin County residents were arrested this week after they allegedly burglarized a residence and beat its occupants with a baseball bat.
Shaqaunna J. Latney, 23, of Malone; Bradley M. Mulverhill, 18, of Constable; Timothy C. Ropas, 19, of Malone; and Kiesha W. Diabo, 19, of Moira unlawfully entered a residence at 15 Christine Lane in Hogansburg and assaulted the resident of the home and two other people there, St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police said.
The incident was reported around 2:40 a.m. May 3, and officers and an ambulance were dispatched to the home.
Two of the victims required transport to Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone and Massena Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries, Tribal Police said.
Police obtained warrants for the four suspects and arrested Latney the next day on a felony charge of first-degree burglary.
She was taken to the Tribal Police Station, arraigned in Bombay Town Court and sent to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
Tribal Police Investigator Decota Thompson and Mike Fleury, an investigator from the Franklin County District Attorney’s Office, arrested Mulverhill, Ropas and Diabo May 6 at a rented cabin at the Trailside Bar, Restaurant and Inn in Owl’s Head.
They were arraigned and taken to Franklin County Jail.
All four defendants remained there Thursday.
Additional charges for the four suspects are pending, police said.
No further information was available Thursday.
