Live fire training today in Port Kent

KEESEVILLE — The Keeseville Fire Department will conduct a live fire training today at 14 North St. in Port Kent. 

The following roads will be closed most of the day: all of North Street, the north end of First Street, and Lake Street from the dry hydrant to North Street.

The department will also be using the hydrant system.

CCC Board of Trustees sets special meeting

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton Community College Board of Trustees has scheduled a special meeting for Monday, April 21.

The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the board room on the second floor of the Moore Academic and Administrative Building on the main campus.

Agenda items include ratifying the appointment of the vice president for student affairs and an executive session.

 The meeting is open to the public.

Beekmantown School Board to vote on budget

BEEKMANTOWN — Beekmantown Central School Board will hold a special meeting at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the auditorium. 

Agenda items include adoption of the 2014-15 proposed budget, budget survey results, acceptance of petitions for the May 20 School Board elections, adoption of the 2014-15 Property Tax Report Card and final recommendations from the pre-K-2/3-5 Study Committee.

NCCS Board to appoint substitutes

CHAMPLAIN — The Northeastern Clinton Central School Board will meet at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the District Office.

Agenda items include appointment of substitutes and vote on the Champlain Valley Educational Services budget and board candidates.

The meeting is open to the public.
