Graney heads for Bolton Landing

(Continued)

Graney said he’s excited about becoming part of the Bolton Central School District.

“The decision to leave THS was difficult, due to how much I enjoy working with the students and staff. The interview experience was quite extensive, and it gave me a good understanding of what they’re looking for in their next principal, and it made me feel like this was a great fit both personally and professionally.”

REPLACEMENT

Ticonderoga Superintendent John McDonald Jr. said they’re meeting Tuesday to decide whether to advertise the vacancy now or hire an interim principal.

“Mike’s doing a great job here. We’re going to miss him. He’s been a positive leader. He’s raised expectations of kids.”

Graney created many new educational programs at Ticonderoga, McDonald said.

“It’s great for him and a sad day for us, but we wish him all the best.”
