Police: Strong-arm robbery in Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH — State Police want to talk with a Keeseville man about an alleged strong-arm robbery that took place in Plattsburgh on Saturday.

They seek the whereabouts of David B. Bresette Jr., 24, and also any information the public may have about the incident, which took place at about 6:15 p.m. in the parking lot of Plattsburgh Wholesale Homes at 7109 State Route 9.

“A woman came to the station and reported she was robbed,” State Police Investigator Matthew Dandrow told the Press-Republican.

Bresette wasn’t considered a suspect, he said on Tuesday afternoon.

“We just want to speak with him about it. He is believed to still be in the area.”

The woman who police said was accosted was not injured, Dandrow said.

“No weapon was used, but there was force used,” he said in describing the nature of a strong-arm robbery.

Dandrow released no further details, including what was taken from the woman.

Reach Plattsburgh-based State Police at 563-3411.
