Living History: Hazards and Hopes in 1776. 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fort Ticonderoga. Tours, demonstrations and hands-on family programs. General admission is $17.50 for adults; $15 for 65 and older; $8 for children from 5 to 12; children 4 and under, free. Friends of Fort Ticonderoga and Ticonderoga Resident Ambassador Pass Holders are free. 

Junk From Your Trunk. 9:30 a.m. to noon, Harkness United Methodist Church, 481 Hallock Hill Road, Peru. Suggested $5 donation from vendors.

Champlain EMS Open House. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Champlain Fire Station, 162 Elm St. Free blood-pressure screenings, glucose screenings available; ambulance and equipment on display, giveaways for children; donations for a new EMS station will be accepted.

Pirate and Princess Party. 10 a.m. to noon. Adirondack Carousel, 2 Depot St., Saranac Lake. $20 for one child and one adult, each additional person, $8. Themed activities, crafts, snacks, beverages, carousel rides. Costumes encouraged. Registration required; call 891-9521. All children must accompanied by an adult.
