Long Lake man killed in car crash

LONG LAKE — A Long Lake man was killed in a one-car accident early Saturday morning.

Thom B. Ross, 22, was traveling northbound on Deerland Road in the Town of Long Lake near Emerson Road, when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and it overturned, Tupper Lake-based New York State Police Sgt. Johnathan Herrick said.

The accident happened at 2:33 a.m., Herrick said.

Ross was the only occupant in the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved, he said.

A State Police Sergeant responded to the site of the crash, Herrick said.

It was unknown Saturday who reported the accident to police.

State Police continue to investigate the crash.
