“It comes down to who can get the most people there.
“When I asked people to attend the caucus, they didn’t realize the importance of it,” she said. “I’m a long-term educator, and a lot of people learned a lot and how important it is to be an active participant.”
She said she will still continue working with Maneely on the Town Council.
“I have no problem with that,” Scharf said. “I have no difficulty working with anyone. I’ll continue to ask serious questions of people and businesses, so, no, I have no difficulty working with Howard or the town board.”
The Town of Malone Republican Party Committee caucus is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at Hosler’s Restaurant.
The deadline is Monday for potential candidates to submit letters of intent to the committee.
