Drug offenders sentenced in Clinton County Court

(Continued)

She was originally charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

‘SOLD PRESCRIPTION DRUGS’

Rosa L. Dreslinski, 28, of Plattsburgh pleaded guilty in Clinton County Court to fourth-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony, and Ryan sentenced her to one and a half years in state prison with one year of post-release supervision.

The court requires that she pay restitution and fees.

After a lengthy investigation by the Adirondack Drug Task Force that started in late 2012, Plattsburgh City Police arrested Dreslinski in May for selling prescription drugs, Plattsburgh City Police previously told the Press-Republican.

She was originally charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

ARRESTED IN LARGE BUST

Darwin Weiand, 27, of Schuyler Falls pleaded guilty to fourth-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, and Ryan sentenced him to time served and five years of probation.

Ryan ordered Weiand to provide a sample of his DNA and pay the sample collection fee.

He was arrested in the 32-person drug bust in December 2012 for allegedly selling the painkiller buprenorphine.

Like Dreslinski, he was initially charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

First-time felons are offered a treatment program if they have a drug addiction, according to the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office.
