APA to continue monthly meeting today
RAY BROOK — The Adirondack Park Agency is holding the second day of its monthly meeting today at its Raybrook headquarters.

At 9 a.m., the Park Ecology Committee will hear an informational presentation on phase 1 of an ongoing Environmental Protection Agency-funded wetlands project. Next, it will hear a first reading of draft Agency Guidelines and Policy for the appropriate use of the herbicide Renovate and Renovate OTF to manage Eurasian watermilfoil.
At 10:45, the Regulatory Programs Committee, depending on the outcome of the Appeal of Project 2011-95, may assemble to determine approvability for proposed project 2011-95 for a new private airport in the Town of Willsboro.
At 11:15, the full agency will come to order for committee reports, local government review board comment, public and member comment.

Keeseville to register voters on Saturday
KEESEVILLE — The Village of Keeseville will hold voter registration day from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Village Board Room, 58 Liberty St., Keeseville.
Identification is required.
Town of Westport sets special meeting
WESTPORT — There will be a special Westport Town Council meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Westport Town Hall.
The board will be meeting with the Town Building Renovation Committee and representatives of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
The session is open to all.
Essex library wins $2,000 grant for Façade Project
ESSEX — The Belden Noble Memorial Library has been awarded a grant of $2,000 from the Essex Community Fund at the Adirondack Community Trust.
