Plattsburgh man accused of hurting infant daughter

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man has been charged with intentionally injuring his 6-month-old daughter.

Clinton County Child Protective Services received a complaint and called City Police, Plattsburgh City Police Capt. Michael Branch said.

The baby had been treated at CVPH Medical Center recently for injuries to her left arm. Based on medical reports and interviews with the child’s family, a detective assigned to the case determined the injury was not accidental and had been inflicted by the child’s father, Branch said.

Arthur Drury Jr., 23, was charged Feb. 8 with first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Drury was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court Saturday morning and sent to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

He posted bail that day, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.

Drury is due to reappear in City Court on March 13.
