Jay woman charged with DWI

PERU — A 31-year-old Jay woman was charged with driving drunk with her two young daughters in the car, police said.

At about 11 p.m. on Oct. 5, State Police stopped Elizabeth A. Bradbury, who was driving southbound on Interstate 87 in the Town of Peru, according to a news release from State Police.

At the time of the traffic stop, Bradbury’s daughters, ages 4 and 5, were in the vehicle, police said.

Police determined Bradbury’s blood-alcohol content to be 0.13 percent, and she was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child younger than 16 in the vehicle, a felony, police said.

She was also ticketed for moving from a lane unsafely and driving without a license, police said.

Bradbury is due to appear in Peru Town Court at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15.

FYI...
  • Why do wolves howl?

Of all the myths that dog the wolf, none is more widely accepted than the idea that wolves howl at the moon. Images of wolves with their heads upturned, singing at the night sky, are as unquestioned as a goldfish's three-second memory or a dog's color-blindness (both also myths).
