ADKYP will also be holding an open house at North Country Cross Fit on Feb. 28 at 4:30 p.m. with a networking event at Latitude 44 to follow from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All funds will go to the ORDA Adaptive Ski Program.
“This is my first year working with ADKYP and I have met a great group of people. I am very impressed with the diverse range of events the organization holds,” said ADKYP member Leigh-Carter-Simonette. “There is a great amount of energy and spirit within this organization, which creates a fun and positive environment.”
ADKYP President Steve Geddes said he is proud of the his group’s involvement in the community.
“ADKYP believes in volunteering throughout the year and I am really excited about the committee’s ability to sort through numerous ideas and present the (recent Martin Luther King Jr. service) grant request to the United Way,” he said.
“Since 2008, there have been a lot of changes to the Civic Committee and ADKYP as a whole,” said Tim McCormick, co-chair of the Civic Committee. “The new committee shows a tremendous effort and eagerness to help ADKYP’s members contribute to the community.”
ADKYP hold networking events on the last Thursday of every month in addition to volunteering events throughout the year to raise money for various non-profits within the community.
