From 4 to 6 p.m., a special Valentine event will be held. Participants will be able to sing, dance, recite a poem, do a skit etc. and have their message recorded and transferred to a DVD for them to present to their Valentine by Feb. 14.

Business mixer

PLATTSBURGH — PrimeLink, Champlain Telephone Co., Ground Round and Best Western Plus The Inn at Smithfield will co-host the current session of Business After Hours. 

The North Country Chamber of Commerce invites area business people to the mixer on Feb. 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Best Western Plus The Inn at Smithfield.

The Jetsons will be there to welcome attendees to the event with the theme “Bringing You The Future Today.” Everyone who attends will be entered in the drawing for an iPad Mini, an overnight at the Best Western, and other gifts.

Visitors are free to dress futuristically or come as they are. There will be great food, prizes and futuristic fun.

Business After Hours is an opportunity to expand business networks and is open to all chamber members and their employees. Future members are encouraged to contact the chamber for a special-guest pass. The fee for Business After Hours is $3 with an advance reservation and $4 without. Business services

TICONDEROGA — The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce will host an open house with the North Country Small Business Development Center on Tuesday, Feb. 12.

Services provided by the SBDC will be available at the chamber office typically on the second Tuesday of each month. The open house will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, the chamber is working with the agency to host spring business seminars on a variety of topics. All seminars are free.
