Customers won’t need to do anything as it relates to the transition, as all accounts will automatically be transferred to the new location. There will be no layoffs associated with the relocation.
“We looked at the proximity of our five branches in Plattsburgh and decided this was the best move for both our customers and employees,” said Hal Wentworth, senior vice president of retail banking. “Customers will continue to receive the same level of service from the remaining branches as all staff will be relocated to those locations. Community Bank will continue to have a total of four other branches in the Plattsburgh area that will all be happy to serve the needs of our transitioning customers.”
They are the branch located at 524 State Route 3, the downtown branch at 9 Margaret St., the Wal-Mart branch at 25 Consumer Square and the 468 State Route 3 branch.
Customers are encouraged to speak with the branch staff at any Community Bank location should they have any questions, or call 1-800-388-4679.
