The National Weather Service recorded 18 inches in Hogansburg and 12 in Burke.

Another, smaller snowstorm, is headed toward the region, Taber said.
"We are watching a storm for the weekend. Right now, that looks like a general light snow. A dusting to several inches."
The Postal Service is asking that people keep their mailboxes clear of snow.
The City of Plattsburgh Common Council meeting that was to be held tonight has been called off, and those agenda items will be moved to the Jan. 3 meeting.
Mayor Donald Kasprzak said City of Plattsburgh offices will be closing at 3 p.m. today. Plattsburgh Public Library will also be closing at 3.
Essential personnel, determined by the mayor and department heads, will continue to address the snowstorm, according to a release from the city.
"We appreciate your patience during the snowstorm, and please take necessary precautions to ensure your safety," Kasprzak said.
The City of Plattsburgh snow-emergency parking ban has been extended a second night. No cars can be parked on city streets from midnight Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday. Cars found on the streets will be ticketed and towed. The parking ban also includes the north end of the City Parking Lot on Durkee Street.
The Clinton County Legislature’s Plattsburgh International Airport Committee and Finance Committee meetings and the regular session scheduled for tonight are canceled. The Finance Committee meeting will be rescheduled to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, with the regular session to follow at 5 p.m.
Clinton County offices will close at 3 p.m. today.
Some CVPH Medical Center outpatient and off-site services closed early. Closed are the CVPH Open MRI, Dental Center, Business Center, Outpatient Rehabilitation (Tom Miller Road, Degrandpre Way and PARC Wellness locations), Advanced Registration and Cashier's Office.
