Best Fourth in the North needs help



She said the theme this year will be “Movie Classics,” with floats taking on the theme of great films like “The Wizard of Oz” and “Casablanca.”

“We’re also looking for local bands and musicians who would like to participate in the parade,” Barber said. “We encourage everyone to register early. This year’s event is expanding, with more vendors in Bicentennial Park and a larger parade.”

The money raised for the event goes toward fireworks, bands and other entertainment, along with prizes.

To register or for more information, email or stop by the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, 94 Montcalm St. in downtown Ticonderoga, she said. The chamber assists the celebration as a contact point.
