Events planned for spring break

PLATTSBURGH — Spring break is here, and there are activities around the North Country that can keep families busy.

Check listings ahead, as some events require advance registration. 

Here’s the schedule.

TODAY

No School Days/Spring Break. 9:30 to 4 p.m., Visitors Interpretive Center, 8023 Route 30, Paul Smiths. Children ages 7 through 11 are invited to learn and play with a variety of subjects related to the season like plants and animals who wake up and claim territory. Preregistration for each day required; call 327-6241 or email mberrus@paulsmiths.edu. $35 per person; $25 for members.

Gently Used Summer Clothing Sale. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., St. Vincent’s Thrift Store, 3028 Main St., Peru. 

Circus, Circus and More Circus. Shows at 5 and 7:30 p.m., Rouses Point Recreation Center, 39 Lake St. Advance tickets for adults, $12, (each comes with two free tickets for kids); at the door, adults, $15. Buy advance tickets, 297-2954 or 297-3035. Proceeds go toward events at the Samuel de Champlain Center Stage in Rouses Point Recreation Center.

TUES., APRIL 15

Celebrate National Library Week. Noon to 4 p.m., Sherman Free Library,20 Church St., Port Henry.

AMA Tour by Historic Saranac Lake. 10:30 a.m., Meet inside the Park Avenue gates. Tour the grounds of the former Trudeau Sanatorium. $5 per person, children and members free. Reserve by noon day before by calling 8891-4606.
