PLATTSBURGH — Four Clinton County residents were arrested after what police say may have been a botched drug deal.
Victor A. Trombley, 24, of Plattsburgh and Souradet S. Sattaboot, 24, of Rouses Point drove to a location on Gene Lefevre Road in the Town of Plattsburgh to buy cocaine, State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Trooper Jennifer Fleishman said.
Kayla M. Trask, 21, of Plattsburgh and Tyler J. Powers, 21, also of Plattsburgh, approached the vehicle, and they were somehow restrained and dragged by the car, she said.
Trask and Powers afterwards and contacted police about the incident, at 2:30 a.m. April 5, giving false statements, she said.
“We never recovered any drugs,” she said, and they don’t know for sure if there was an exchange of narcotics.
Trombley and Sattaboot were arrested April 8, and both were charged with two counts of second-degree assault and second-degree robbery, both felonies.
Both men were arraigned in Beekmantown Town Court, and they each posted $300 cash bail and were released.
Trask and Powers were each charged April 10 with providing a false written statement, a misdemeanor, and were issued appearance tickets to returnable to Plattsburgh City Court.
