CHAMPLAIN — Northeastern Clinton Central School Board has set budget meetings, a reception for the new superintendent and candidate deadlines.
The School Board will hold a brief special meeting at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the District Office to vote on the Board of Cooperative Educational Services administrative budget and annual election.
BUDGET FORUM, RECEPTION
The board will hold its next regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at the Middle-High School library media center.
That meeting will feature a forum on the proposed 2014-15 budget.
A community reception for newly appointed Superintendent of Schools Lisa Grenville will be held at 5:15 p.m. May 6 in the High School cafeteria. All residents of the school community are invited to welcome the new superintendent, who begins service July 1.
Light refreshments will be available for those attending the reception.
The deadline for NCCS residents to submit petitions for School Board candidacy is 5 p.m. Monday, April 21.
Two seats on the board are slated for the annual election: one five-year term of office currently held by Linda Gonyo-Horne and one two-year seat open due to the recent resignation of board member Donna Boumil.
Petitions are available in the District Office at the Middle-High School, 103 Route 276 in Champlain, Monday through Friday or via the web at www.nccscougar.org.
The district’s annual public hearing on the proposed budget is slated for 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the Mooers Elementary School gymnasium.
