Budget forums are designed for the school community to engage in conversation with school administration regarding the 2014-2015 school budget.

During Monday night’s session, participants will: receive an update on the budget process to-date; learn about key budget factors and figures; suggest ways the School District could reduce costs; and take a perceptions survey.

Peru School Board continues budget work

PERU — Peru Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, in the community room at the Junior/Senior High School.

At the start of the meeting, the board will vote to go into executive session to discuss the employment history of specific personnel.

The board will reconvene in public session at about 7 p.m.

Agenda items include the 2014-15 budget and proposition and recognition of student clubs and groups.

Board meetings are open to the public.

Lake Placid School Board to meet April 8

LAKE PLACID — There will be a regular meeting of the Lake Placid Central School Board at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, in the Board of Education Conference Room, Administrative Services Building, 50 Cummings Road.

Agenda items include personnel matters and a senior-project presentation.

The meeting is open to the public.

ELCS Board may adopt budget at April 8 session

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 8, in the Conference Room at the school. 

It is anticipated the board will convene in executive session at 6 p.m. to discuss negotiations and gather advice of counsel.

The board will reconvene in public session at 7 p.m. to: award a 35-passenger bus contract; adopt district policies pertaining to students, programs for students and suicide prevention; consider various personnel appointments; authorize an advisory exit poll for interest in the veterans exemption.
