First Weekends. 5 to 8 p.m., featured business is Peabody’s Bar and Grill on Clinton Street, Plattsburgh. Former owner Robert Wallett serves as guest bartender. Performances by Jay Lesage, Haley McGivney, Liesa & The Masouda World Dance Ensemble. Art opening featuring the works of Kaitlyn Donovan.

Parents Night Out. 6 to 9 p.m. Church of the Nazarene, 187 Broad St., Plattsburgh. All children infant through sixth grade are invited to a free night of pizza, gym games, crafts and more. Be sure to wear sneakers. Call 561-1960 or visit www.plattsburghnazarene.org to register. 

“Gravity” Movie Showing. 7 p.m., Chateaugay Town Hall Theatre, 191 East Main St. $3 per person or $10 per family; rated PG-13.

Fundraiser for Becky (Shutts) Corral. 2 to 6:30 p.m., American Legion, Post #1623, 3958 Route 374, Lyon Mountain. Spaghetti dinner, $7. Also a Chinese auction. Proceeds will benefit Corral, who is battling a serious autoimmune disorder. Sponsored by the FFA of Northern Adirondack Central School.

“Got Game? A Winter Sportsmen Series.” 3 p.m., Adirondack Interpretive Center, 5922 Route 28N, Newcomb. Connecting men and women who enjoy sports in the Adirondacks, providing an opportunity for them to swap stories, trade tips and spend time together with a bowl of chili and beverage in historic Huntington Lodge. First Weekends. Events through the afternoon in downtown Plattsburgh:12:30 to 1:30 p.m., story hour with Gordie Little at Under One Roof Video Store, 267 Margaret St.; 2 p.m., scavenger hunt along City Hall Place, the Macdonough Monument and Trinity Park; 2 p.m., Center Stage dance routine on City Hall Place; 4 p.m., Dress Code, Cache Elegant and Sugar & Spice Fashion Show, City Hall Place; also activities provided by the Champlain Valley Transportation Museum, Adirondack Wildlife Refuge, Autism Alliance, ARC of Clinton County and City of Plattsburgh Fire Department; free self-defense lesson for kids in the morning at Fred Villari Studios (must preregister at 561-8592); 5 p.m., North Funk Tree, City Performance Stage. First Weekend buttons for $10 each gain discounts at various downtown businesses with all proceeds benefiting the First Weekend events.
