Village of Dannemora sets session on parking law
DANNEMORA — The Dannemora Village will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Village Offices to discuss the parking law and any other business to come before the board.
Local chamber to represent airport at trade show
PLATTSBURGH — The North Country Chamber of Commerce will exhibit on behalf of Plattsburgh International Airport in Montreal Nov. 17, 18 and 19 at the Air Transport Association of Canada’s 79th-annual General Meeting and Tradeshow at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel.
The association is the main alliance of aviation-related companies across Canada. It includes manufacturers, aircraft maintenance and overhaul companies, airlines and charter operators and other aviation related activities and services.
The chamber serves as the marketing and development agency for Plattsburgh International. It will be exhibiting all three days of the event while also taking part in networking opportunities and conference sessions to highlight Plattsburgh’s role as Montreal’s U.S. Airport and Aerospace Park.

DANNEMORA — Dannemora Federal Credit Union is holding its Community Food Drive through Nov. 26 to benefit the Dannemora JCEO Outreach Center, which is in need of Thanksgiving food for the upcoming holiday season.
Nonperishable food donations may be dropped off at any one of Dannemora Federal Credit Union Branch Office locations.
Suggested food items include canned vegetables (green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, squash and greens); boxed mashed or scalloped potatoes and white, brown and yellow rice in boxes or bags; boxed or bagged stuffing mixes; bags of flour, cornmeal, biscuit mixes; boxes of baking goods (cake mixes, brownies, pie makings); cans of gravy (turkey and chicken; and cans of fruit, including cranberry sauce.
The Credit Union will donate turkeys for the Thanksgiving meals.
Branch locations are 50 State Road, Dannemora; 344 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh; 122 New York Road, Plattsburgh; and 10 Elm St., Champlain.
PLATTSBURGH — Tickets are still available for chances to win the 110th-anniversary Harley Davidson Super Glide motorcycle being raffled by the Plattsburgh Noon Rotary Club to benefit local charitable organizations.
Only 1,000 tickets, total, will be sold, priced at $25 each; the drawing will take place when all have been purchased. Just 1,450 of the anniversary editions of the bike were made.
Tickets can be purchased from any Rotary member or at these locations in Plattsburgh: NBT Bank, Route 3; Yipes!, 8 Sheridan Avenue; and American Legion Post 20, Quarry Road.
