Peru Council changes meeting, sets hearing

PERU — The Peru Town Council has rescheduled the regular monthly meeting from Thursday, Nov. 7, to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at the Town Hall.

A public hearing on the preliminary budget is set for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Town Hall.

The public is welcome.

NCCS Board to discuss budget timetable, policies

CHAMPLAIN — The Northeastern Clinton Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the library media center, adjacent to the main entrance of the High School.

It’s anticipated the school board will, in part, approve a budget development timetable for winter/spring 2014; approve a timetable for recruitment of a successor to the transportation services supervisor, who plans to retire in spring 2014; and complete first readings of the Principal and Classroom Teacher Evaluation policy and substantially revised Public Use of Facilities policy, which would require payment of fees by organizations or individuals for certain uses of school facilities or school grounds.

The session is open to the public.

ELCS Board to meet Nov. 12

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the ELCS Conference Room.

An executive session may take place at 5:30 p.m. to discuss matters of collective negotiations and advice of counsel.

The board expects to reconvene in public session at about 7 p.m. Agenda items include recognition of student and staff achievements, appointment of personnel to various positions and adoption of the budget-development timetable for the 2013-14 spending plan.
