Plattsburgh woman charged with rape

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh woman is charged with third-degree rape, involving a 17-year-old resident of a youth home in the City of Plattsburgh.

The felony charge indicates the alleged victim was incapable of consent.

Stephanie K. Duquette, 33, was arrested by City of Plattsburgh detectives on Friday. She was also charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor.

Duquette was employed at the facility, police said, and was involved in a sexual relationship with the teen.

She was arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court and released on her own recognizance.

Her next court date is set for Wednesday.
