City parking ban overnight

PLATTSBURGH — A snow emergency parking ban has been declared for all city-wide streets to include City owned parking lots within the City of Plattsburgh effective from midnight until 6 a.m. Sunday, March 30.

Any vehicle parked on city streets between midnight and 6 a.m. may be ticketed and towed. Any vehicle parked in a city-owned parking lot between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. may be ticketed and towed. If towed, a towing fee will be charged before the vehicle can be retrieved.

This parking ban also includes the north end of the city parking lot on Durkee Street.

Vehicles are still prohibited from parking on unpaved areas between curbs and sidewalks. These vehicles will be ticketed. Vehicles in these areas that cause a safety hazard will also be towed away.
