Movie Showing. 7 p.m., St. Augustine’s Church, 3030 Main St., Peru. “Francis: The Pope from the New World,” an hour-long documentary begins with the pope’s election on March 13, 2013, and revisits his background in Argentina, where he served as archbishop of Buenos Aires and as a Jesuit provincial. Co-sponsored by St. Augustine’s Knights of Columbus Council 7273 and St. Monica’s Court 2598 Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

“Turbo” Movie Showing. 7 p.m. Chateaugay Town Hall Theatre, 191 East Main St. $3 per person or $10 per family, rated PG 13.

Franklin Academy Open House. 9 to 10 a.m., Franklin Academy Auditorium, 42 Huskie Lane, Malone. School tours and information presentation to include Middle School College and Career Pathways exploration that will assist all students in becoming college and career ready and gain 21st-century employability skills.

Maple Weekend. Tap into the sweetness of New York state’s maple sugar products with tours, tastings, pancake breakfasts (with charge), wagon rides, recipes and demonstrations.
