Tracey Ducharme of Morrisonville has been inducted into the Alpha Pi Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Clinton Community College. Ducharme, a business administration major, is a sophomore with a 3.76 GPA.
Two sisters from Chazy have qualified for the Dean’s List at SUNY Oneonta. They are Jessica LaPier, a 2013 graduate of Chazy Central Rural School, who studies mass communications with a minor in event planning, and Caitlyn LaPier, who also studies mass communications with a minor in music production. Caitlyn graduated from Chazy Central Rural School in 2012 and is a member of the SUNYAC champion women’s soccer team. They are the daughters of Julie Woodley of Chazy and Craig LaPier of Plattsburgh.
Two area residents have graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering. They are Eric Schnaars of Schuyler Falls, who received a master of engineering degree in mechanical engineering, and Wesley Wilson of Rouses Point, who also earned a master of engineering degree.
Martha Gray of Plattsburgh was named to the fall semester Dean’s List at Simmons College in Boston. She is an English major.
Taylor Rock of Peru has qualified for the fall semester Dean’s List, recognizing outstanding student scholarship, at Babson College, Babson Park, Mass.
Norwich University, Northfield, Vt., has named Matthew Ryan Miller to the Dean’s List for the fall semester.
Tyler Bulriss of Chazy was one of 13 SUNY Delhi architecture students who spent 17 days in Italy this January to take a three-credit course, Architecture 371, “Architectural Theory: History and Architecture of the Italian Renaissance.” Students traveled from Florence to Rome to Vicenza and back again. They visited the tombs of Michelangelo and Talileo, the Pantheon, Coliseum, Arch of Constantine and many other significant architectural and historical destinations. Bulriss is pursuing an associate’s degree in architectural technology.
