George Rivers wins Rouses Point mayoral race

Election results are all in, with George Rivers narrowly defeating incumbent Francis "Bumper" Baker for the mayor's seat in Rouses Point.

Here are the tallies for villages around the North Country.

ROUSES POINT

Mayor (two-year term): George Rivers (People’s Party), 225; Francis “Bumper” Baker (Happy Party), 218.

Trustee (two, two-year seats): Andrew Vincelette (Working Together), 274; incumbent Brad Martin (Freedom), 244; Sonya Rule-LaRoche (Integrity), 237

SARANAC LAKE

Mayor (two-year term): Clyde Rabideau (D), 391; Dianna Trummer (R), 141.

Village trustee (two, two-year seats): Tom Catillaz (D, Saranac Lake’s Future), 378; Garry Hoffman (R), 155; Elias “Allie” Pelletieri (C, R, D), 501.

PORT HENRY

Village trustee (two two-year seats): Thomas McDonald (Taxpayers Party), 79; and Ruth McDonough (Citizens Party), 68, Sandra Lovell (Citizens Party), 40.

CHATEAUGAY

Village trustee (two, two-year seats): Patricia Dragon, 29.

Write-in Matthew Clarke, 18; Nathan Collette, 9.

KEESEVILLE

Village trustee (two seats that both expire Dec. 31): Kathleen Klages, 29; Julie Lattrell, 36 (including 1 absentee vote each).

CHAMPLAIN

Village trustee (two, two-year seats): Amy Gehrig (Save the Kids), 21; Tom Trombley (Citizens Union), 25.
