AMC visitor restrictions lifted

SARANAC LAKE — Adirondack Health has lifted visitation precautions announced Jan. 17 to protect newborns at Adirondack Medical Center from the increase in local cases of flu and flu-like illnesses.

Siblings and other family and friends may visit mothers and newborns on the unit.

“Adirondack Health is grateful for the patience and understanding of the individuals and family members who were affected by the precautions,” a press release said.

There are no other visitor restrictions at AMC in Saranac Lake; however, individuals with a cough may be asked to wear a mask in certain areas of the hospital or in a doctor’s office.
