KEESEVILLE — The Village of Keeseville is holding Voter Registration Day from noon to 5 p.m. today in the Village Clerk’s Office, 58 Liberty St.

Village Election is set for noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, in the Village Board Room, also 58 Liberty St.


City School District seeks board candidates

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh City School District is accepting nominating petitions for two School Board seats.

The district clerk will accept nominations until 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 30.

Elections are scheduled for May 20 to fill the seats, which are five-year terms each and running from July 1, 2014, until June 30, 2019.

The seats are held now by Frederick Wachtmeister and Tracy Rotz.

“Citizens with a sincere commitment to the education of all children are urged to consider School Board service,” a press release said. “Making the policy decisions that shape the future education of our children is an important responsibility.”

Candidates must be at least 18, qualified voters in the Plattsburgh City School District and able to read and write. They must have been residents of the district continuously for one year before the election.

They must obtain the signatures of 100 qualified district voters on nominating petitions, which can be obtained from the district clerk at the Duken School Building, 49 Broad St.

Beekmantown School Board session planned

BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Central School Board will meet at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, in the auditorium.

Agenda items include presentations on Pathways to College & Career Readiness, retirements, policies and notice of the annual district election, budget vote and bus proposition.

School Board members will be available from 6 to 6:15 p.m. to meet and greet district residents.
