PLATTSBURGH — Peru native Alyssa Felio has joined the staff of the North Country Chamber of Commerce as group marketing specialist for the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau.
In addition to assisting in day-to-day marketing activities, Felio will lead the Visitors Bureau’s efforts in attracting groups, motorcoaches and meetings to the area establishing the Adirondack Coast as a premier group travel destination. She will also play an integral role in planning and securing pro bass fishing tournaments on Lake Champlain with the City of Plattsburgh.
“The Visitors Bureau is excited to welcome Alyssa back to the Adirondack Coast and to the chamber staff. Her experience and enthusiasm will prove to be vital in her new role as group marketing specialist. We were searching for someone who understood the area, could help further the Destination Master Plan and grow the group travel segment — and Alyssa is a perfect fit,” said Kristy Kennedy, director of the Adirondack Coast Visitors Bureau.
Felio recently completed her master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Hospitality at Johnson and Wales University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Plattsburgh State. Before joining the chamber, she worked as a senior customer associate at Anthropologie while furthering her education.
