Winter Carnival continues

Events in Saranac Lake today include Celtic Concert, movie, tea

SARANAC LAKE — A Celtic Concert and Interfaith Service are among Saranac Lake Winter Carnival events today.

Here’s a look at the schedule ($ indicates an entry fee, cover charge or cost for food or purchases, though no specific amounts were provided):

TODAY

4 p.m.: High Tea, Left Bank Café, $.

7 p.m.: Interfaith Service in Celebration, St. Luke’s Church; and Bingo, Saranac Lake Adult Center.

7:30 p.m.: “Into the West” movie and Porky Pig cartoon, Downhill Grill, donation requested. Sponsored by Saranac Lake Classic Film Festival; and Celtic Concert with Jubal Consort and the Barn Cats, Saranac Lake Laboratory Museum, $.

TUESDAY

3:30 p.m.: Scavenger Hunt for Middle School Students, Saranac Lake Youth Center.

4 p.m.: High Tea, Left Bank Café, $.

5:30 p.m.: Grand Marshal Reception, Red Fox Restaurant, cash bar.

6:30 p.m.: Royalty Dinner, Red Fox Restaurant, $.

8:15 p.m.: Firemen’s Broomball, Saranac Lake Civic Center.

10 p.m.: Blind Owl Band, Waterhole.

WEDNESDAY

10 p.m. to 2 a.m.: Karaoke with Keith King, Romano’s Saranac Lanes.

THURSDAY

2:30 to 6:30 p.m.: 25th-annual Winter Book Sale, Saranac Lake Free Library, Cantwell Community Room, $.

6 p.m.: American Management Association Torchlight Skiing and Fireworks, Mt. Pisgah Ski Center.

7:30 p.m.: Music, Rushad Eggelston, Pendragon Theatre, $.
