Power outage in downtown Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH — A power outage Monday afternoon briefly disrupted business in downtown Plattsburgh.

The outage, which focused mostly on Margaret Street, started about 2 p.m. The Municipal Lighting Department had restored power by 2:20 p.m.

The Clinton County Government Center, the Press-Republican and Northern Insuring were among those without power during that time.

Several traffic lights in the downtown area went out, and City Police had to direct traffic.
