The Queensbury store at 190 Quaker Road first opened its doors on Nov. 2, 1987. Hannaford has since opened 48 additional stores in the Greater Capital Region, North Country, Hudson Valley and Utica-area, bringing its total number of stores in New York to 49.

“As we mark this milestone anniversary, we cannot help but to reflect upon the past 25 years of tremendous growth and expansion for Hannaford in New York,” said Hannaford Supermarkets Vice President of Retail Operations Western Division Rudy DiPietro. “We are honored to continue to bring our signature combination of everyday low prices, quality foods and outstanding service to residents throughout New York.”

Service enhanced

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Essex County Real Property Tax Service Office is unveiling an enhanced Image Mate Online service. The service is designed to accommodate the higher level information needs of the professional real-property, banking and legal communities.

This fee-based service should prove to be a valuable resource for abstractors, appraisers, surveyors, attorneys, banks, real-estate and utility companies. No longer will they have to make a trip to the county seat in Elizabethtown to get a copy of a tax map or more frequently updated sales information. All of this information will only be a click away with access at any time. Fees for this service can be purchased on a monthly or yearly basis. A fee schedule and registration form can be found on the Essex County, Real Property and Image Mate websites.

The migration to an online subscription is a natural progression. In 2011, Essex County became one of four pilot counties in New York for the procedure that is now being implemented in several counties across the state. Real Property and the County Clerk’s Office have worked closely to ensure that this pilot project was a success and have had interest from several other counties to come see how this project has worked here.
