Plattsburgh to vote on study of Margaret Street traffic


“They will give a real clear engineering-design sense of what the road ought to be,” said Kasper, who represents the area.

“And we will have more of a sense of what needs to be done to improve safety.”

Mayor James Calnon, who served on the Common Council for seven years before becoming mayor, supports the idea of adding bike lanes.

“I am sure we can make some changes there that will make it a lot safer for bikers and pedestrians and for vehicles, too,” he said.
