TODAY

1 Billion Rising for Justice Dance. Champlain Centre, Smithfield Boulevard, Plattsburgh. A revolution where everyone can dance, where the power and resilience of women and girls, and shared hope for the future is celebrated. 4 p.m., special entertainment; 4:30 p.m., Adirondack Liturgical Dance Troupe; 5 p.m., Zumba; 5:30 p.m., Masouda World Dance Ensemble belly dancers; 6 p.m., Guibord’s North Country School of Dance; 6:30 p.m., Lake Placid School of Ballet and Dance; and 6:55 p.m., salsa dancing. Sponsored by Behavioral Health Services North Inc.

Valentine’s Day Activities. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Imaginarium Children’s Museum, 4709 Route 9, Plattsburgh. Crafts and reading activities inspired by the “love” of books, $5 per person.

Snocade. All day, Indian Lake, celebrating snowmobiling and winter activities in the Adirondacks. Event runs through Sunday, Feb. 23. See full schedule at facebook.com/snocade.

Full Moon VIC Ski Party. 7 to 10 p.m., Visitors Interpretive Center, 8023 Route 30, Paul Smiths, after-dark skiing, party. Celebrate Valentine’s Day Adirondack style on the trails and join an inside party with live music and snacks. $10 per person, $7.50 for Friends of the VIC.

A Heart for Nelson Mandela. 7 p.m. The Grange, 1610 Route 22 at Whallons Bay Road, Whallonsburg. Musical tribute. Adults, $12. Co-sponsored by John Brown Lives!

SAT., FEB. 15

Kids Night Out. 5 to 8:30 p.m. YMCA, 17 Oak St., Plattsburgh. Kindergarten through sixth grade participate in jungle-themed arts and crafts, swimming, bounce house, pizza and drinks. $15 for non-members, $13 for members. Register at time of event or by calling 561-4290.
