Barn fire in Mooers

MOOERS — A barn at 215 Eddy Road was substantially engulfed in flames as firefighters arrived just before 11:30 a.m. today.

The barn was used for hay storage. However, the amount of hay in the barn is not known at this time. No animals were housed there.

Mooers Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by a Clinton County Mutual Aid Tanker Task Force, including trucks from Ellenburg Depot, Altona, Chazy, Rouses Point and Champlain. Also helping at the fire was a crew from Hemmingford, Quebec, and West Chazy firefighters stood by at the Mooers station.
