---- — Keeseville to pick up brush, flush hydrants

KEESEVILLE — The Village of Keeseville will be picking up leaves and brush Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 24.

Residents are asked to place bagged leaves and brush no larger than 4 inches in diameter by the curb for pickup.

Also, the Village Water Department will be flushing hydrants during May. Residents may experience cloudy or dirty water during flushing. It is suggested that they run their water until clear.

Section of Irona Road to be closed

ALTONA — The Altona Highway Department will be closing Irona Road to all traffic from Alder Bend Road to Forest Road starting Monday, May 13.

It will be reopened after replacement of the culvert/bridge is completed.

NAC School Board meeting scheduled

ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 13, at the District Office conference room for the 2013-14 public budget hearing.

Immediately after, at about 6 p.m., an executive session will be held associated with the performance history of particular employees and collective negotiations.

The board will reconvene for public session business at about 7 p.m. Agenda items include an overview of the district’s New York State School Report Card.

The meeting is open to the public.

Agenda planned for Chazy School Board meeting

CHAZY — Chazy Central Rural School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, followed by the budget public hearing at 7.

Topics of discussion will be 2013-14 school calendar, surplus items, gymnastics, substitutes, transportation, the Spanish Club, the airport mural, senior privileges and the capital project.

The public may attend.

Discount Great Escape tickets available for sale

PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Parks and Recreation Department has single-use tickets and season passes to the Great Escape for sale.

The single-use tickets for the theme park in Lake George are $36. The season passes are $55 each. These tickets are good for any day the Great Escape is open. Opening day for the theme park is May 18.
