Associate degrees will be awarded to 285 students, including Associate in Arts, Associate in Science and Associate in Applied Science. Eighty six one-year certificates in Office Technology, Community Residence Aide, Practical Nursing and Certificate in Computer Graphics will also be awarded.

The presentation of the graduates to the Board of Trustees will be announced by Grand Marshal Bobbie Karp, director of Campus and Student Life.

Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant parking will be reserved at the gymnasium complex for guests requiring special accommodations. Both the commencement and reception areas are ADA accessible. 

A free shuttle service will run from the Science Building (Mulholland Hall) through the campus to the Sparks Athletic Complex, beginning at 10 a.m. After the ceremony, the same transportation will be available to bring people to the reception in the Connector portion of the classroom building.

North Country Community College, sponsored by Essex and Franklin counties, is a unit of the State University of New York with campuses in Malone, Ticonderoga and Saranac Lake.

Rouses Point schedules power outage

ROUSES POINT — The Village of Rouses Point will hold a village-wide power outage from 6 a.m. to about 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18. 

A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, also from 6 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m.  

The purpose of this outage is for repairs by the New York Power Authority on equipment at the substation.
